Thorseby classic car show 31st May

Post by Luke2184 » Sat Apr 17, 2021 8:01 pm

The Yorkshire z4 owners group are putting on a gathering at the classic car show on Monday 31st Bank holiday. The show is on the Sunday & Monday. I think they want more owners to attend and show also. Is anyone else going because I am.

Thorseby classic car show 31st May

Post by Paul R » Mon Apr 19, 2021 8:49 am

Apologies for not posting on this site, all welcome to join us on the day. Due to the organisers restricting show vehicles to pre 2007 vehicles for display, We will be attending under the BMW / Z roadster banner to qualify as part of a group with minimum 75% pre 2007, this will allow us to display all Zed models. Pay on the day only stipulation is i need to keep the organisers informed as to numbers.
We currently have 36 cars listed including 26 Zeds (17 Z4's)
Please let me know if attending listing vehicle type/year and colour

Thoresby Hall classic car show Monday 31st May (Bank holiday)
To ensure a club stand, we will be going as BMWCC/Zroadster we need 75% of attendance to be pre 2007
Payment to the show will be on the day at £5 this includes vehicle and 2 passengers and can be cash or card
Will initially be booking 20 spaces but this can be increased nearer the date, this will ensure we are parked up together as a display.
To help negate potential problems suggest we get there a little earlier this year. Usual meeting place Mc Donalds Ollerton Roundabout then a re group in the large lay bye on the A64 Blyth Road500 yds from Ollerton Roundabout

Meet 8:45 Leave 9am Mc Donald's Ollerton roundabout, Old Ollerton road NG22 9DT

Currently running at 36 vehicles so may be a struggle to all meet at Mc Donalds, so suggest get a drink and a snack through the drive bye if required then meet up at the lay by. Head for the A1, Blyth road its just up from Mc Donalds. I will be booking space for all so if you can not make the meet point just head for Thoresby and state your with BMWCC to be directed to our location.

Thorseby classic car show 31st May

Post by Paul R » Tue Apr 20, 2021 3:45 pm

I have had notification today from Classic car shows and good news on the following
We will have allocated space for in excess of 50 cars (confirm closer to the event actual numbers)
To comprise of BMWCC & Facebook members / Zroadster / Z4 Yorkshire & Z4-Forum members)
All cars on the BMWCC stand (Any year, any model) will be eigible for the £5 special rate (that's car driver and 1 passenger)
Any "Classic car shows" tickets bought but not used in 2020 will be eligible for entry to this event.

" Please ensure when entering the grounds you inform the marshal's and at the pay booths you are with BMWCC to ensure the special offer £5 price is charged. You will then be directed to the correct area"

I am hoping to have some sort of parking plan Model / colour etc to present our cars at their best, so if i can ask for a bit of patience and co operation on the day.

Look forward to meeting you all on what looks like being a cracking day.

With fast approaching 50 cars would suggest we all make our own way direct to the show ground.
Public access is from 10am so the organisers like us to be in by then although they use 11am as a cut off time.
With payment on entry this could create some delays so would suggest arriving at the entrance early if possible (9 - 9:15} but no worries if late as space will be reserved.

Showground Thoresby Park Ollerton, Notts, NG22 9EP
