East Anglian coastal run - Friday 19/6 details
Posted over from the end of an old thread.
OK guys - given this a slight amount of thought.
The pubs; clubs; eateries; cinemas etc are all shut and the roads around here are empty after 5:30/6:00 pm. How about an evening dash to the coast with a fish and chip stop - Roughton or Walcott both have good parking; toilets at Sheringham or 'Blue Sky' Cromer. Dry warm evening might be more fun than a weekend - I'll start a new thread and copy this post in so you can add your thoughts.

I'll be a possible, as will Vall. Not sure if one or both cars.
Currently got serious issues with Vall's dad in the final stages of terminal cancer, and he's in Cardiff, so I may well have to change plans at the last minute.
But all things being well, let's do it

BBC online forecast is good for tomorrow and Friday this week - looks good in the evenings for the following week but that's a little too far away at the moment - and lockdown arrangements may change meaning more people are out.
What do we think about next Friday? - chippy at Roughton is open now but I assume there will be plenty on the coast and lots more room to sit socially distanced with a flask of tea!

Andy, as discussed, please put me down as a provisional for this.
I will make sure I keep you posted whatever I end up doing.

It’s probably a little too far for me but out of curiosity where are you planning on meeting up, if it’s Friday I may be tempted to finish work early and head down

I'm starting from mid Norfolk - better location when we know who's coming - but trust me (and I was in Wakefield on Monday last week) you're looking at three and a half hours to mid Norfolk - more like four on Friday afternoon. Its a good two hours from Newark into Norfolk on the A17 all single track roads; tractors and average speed cameras near Lynn.

That’s what I thought, maybe too far, but I’ll keep an eye on this and maybe the fish and chips will be worth the driveCrazy Harry wrote: ↑Sun Jun 14, 2020 9:01 pm I'm starting from mid Norfolk - better location when we know who's coming - but trust me (and I was in Wakefield on Monday last week) you're looking at three and a half hours to mid Norfolk - more like four on Friday afternoon.
