At this moment in time it is still going ahead. I will make a final decision in a week/10 days time, unless the decision is made for me and we go into lockdown etc

Just FYI, Premier Inn have relaxed their T&Cs very recently (checked this weekend and wasn't there) https://www.premierinn.com/gb/en/coronavirus.html
We want to update you in light of the evolving COVID-19 situation. Each enquiry is important to us & our team are working hard to answer the increased volumes. For bookings beyond the next 2 weeks we ask you delay contacting us for now.

In response to these uncertain times, we’ve changed our Ts&Cs. You can now amend Non-Flex bookings for stays arriving between now and 30/04/20, and re-book for future stays at any of our hotels, subject to conditions and availability.

We will continue to keep you updated on any further changes during this evolving situation via the Premier Inn website and social media channels. These are unprecedented times and we are grateful for your patience.

I was able to just cancel my booking - as it’s looking increasingly likely that us old gits will be subject to four months house arrest!
I’m really looking forward to that :x

Now it seems that apart from missing this event that Ive been looking forward to since early this year, it won't be worth putting the RFL (April 1st) on the car either. Its looking like the beginning of August now - But its a small price to pay to subdue the effects of the virus I suppose.

Don't worry Ron... I have a cunning plan :spy:
get some clothes pegs and secure them to the back of your head.... pulling your face tight.
You will instantly look younger and can come out to play

When I rang to cancel the hotel booking and the reserved evening meals that I had paid for up front. I asked about the meal cost that had been paid for the evening and she confirmed that as it will be a "No-Show" the cost of the evening meals will automatically be refunded back to my card after that date! Because I had booked the room at the lower rate it wasn't subject to free cancellation so that's gone.

I had to pull out because Mrs had been given a date for a knee operation for this week but she had a telephone call earlier cancelling the appointment. Oh well, reading about how this virus is spreading its probably for the best considering I take immune suppressant meds :!:

Stay healthy everone.

There’s still 25 on the starting grid, so I’m hoping that the situation doesn’t deteriorate any further for those allowed out!
I’m well brassed off that I’m in the vulnerable group in lockdown.
Ah well, only another three months to go.
Two days down and I’ve already got early onset cabin fever!

Being in that group to Ron,(70) i shall still be out an about top down ,but keeping a healthy distance .
Got a bollocking from a nurse at the hospital yesterday for attending an appointment, canna win.
At the moment its sensible advise not compulsary,
I never was very sensible anyway :)
