Normal life will restart after CV19 & July is beyond the much talked about magical 12 weeks .
Each to their own thought but id expect all businesses will be welcoming anyone & everyone with open arms once the green light is flashing .
I can see every reason to cancel any event in the next 12 weeks but any after that seems a bit premature to be cancelling or pulling out :?

Just imo but i think you’ll find the rest of this year will be cancelled, 12 weeks is not a guide of anything, this thing is changing week by week, you simply cannot put any stock in any date.

You won’t have a choice whether you see a month out or not...you’ll be told when you can go back out. :(

No,Peter. As if now it's Definitely Still going ahead.
Hopefully things will have settled down by Late June and be okay come the Start of July.
As with other meets for later in the year(and not ones planned for March/April), I will keep the thread updated as time goes on.

I see you cancelled our Joint Highlands trip,NC300?

Yes, Exactly my thoughts Andy.
I see a pattern of Peter posting on every meet thread, suggesting they will be cancelled?!
Personally,it's upto those organising it and the people who are intended on attending those meets,if they want to go or not,and as you say Andy, this is outside the government 12 week isolation period for Vulnerable people/agegroups
So,it will still be going ahead,as things stand.
Will update in due Course,as going to speak to the Hotel etc today hopefully.
Keep well everyone  :driving:

Hi Craig et al..

Of course everyone is entitled to their views and these must be respected.

Its good to look forward to future events and if there is no cost penalty in doing so then that's fine.

In my case I prebooked and prepaid (at my own risk, as I for one never anticiapated anything like this) so I'm in the process of recovering those bookings where I can, some have limited remaining times before the ability to recover and/or claim anything on my travel insurnace policy expires..

I don't want to be either a scare mongerer or a doomster but with my past experience / access to priviliged information I don't see a world of Z4-ing happening before Spring 2021.

 dread to hear your thoughts when aren't so upbeat  :D

Real world normalities will return way before April 2021, that you can be sure of.
There, s a long list of killer virus in last 20 yrs that we were told would wipe out millions & in most cases barely managed a few thousand .
The true figures of Cv-19 are a way off knowing but looking at a so called worse case scenario in Wuhan & Italy its hard to see this wiping out the mega numbers worldwide that are being spoken about.
Be interesting to see

Hello Mr Wilks..its a sad relfection on my journey through life that I now end up looking at what possibly could go wrong as my primary perspective. I blame the CAA who re-programmed me when I was an accountable manager for an air operator!

When I was younger you wouldn't believe the dumb things I used to do all the time...

We'll see how history judges this one then we can discuss but I'm offering 10:1 odds on no public meets with say 20 people in a cafe/restaraunt/bar before 30/9/2020 :tumbleweed:

Anyway, back on the Topic of The 11th National meet...
I am hopeful that this will go ahead, but at the moment nobody knows for certain how things will play out,or what further possible restrictions the government may have to put in place for the sake of the Nation's health......
So we will just have to wait and see.
As of today,I gave phoned the Crooklands Hotel and got a voicemail saying they are closed " for the foreseeable" so will await their reply to me voicemail message and email as they haven't cancelled our block booking for the weekend or our Friday night meal. So hopefully have an answer soon.
The Campsite are currently closed, but do expect to be open again before July. So worst case scenario,we all are in the Campsite,in hired Mobile homes, lol
Will update as soon as I know anything else, cheers
