Norfolk breakfast meet anyone?

Post by Crazy Harry » Thu Nov 22, 2018 4:16 pm

So following on from a throw away comment I made to Jingle this morning about having an area breakfast meet what do you Zed owners in Norfolk - and its surrounds think?

I've seen posts from a number of new forum members from the Norwich area in particular this last year and I guess there should be enough of us to fill a table. I'm not suggesting we rush into anything but start thinking about a get together once next year has got going and we're all back into the post Christmas 'normal' routine - say a 'mucky car' meet in late Feb / March for those of us that have Zeds on the road all year round.

For some reason the Stag /Breckland Lodge near Attlebrough comes to mind - it's at the side of the A11 on the roundabout where the old London Roads joins the duel carrageway (might even be the roundabout that guy jumped in the van on the dash cam footage). The White Lodge pub and Peter Beales Roses (garden centre) are both only a few hundred yards away if the Stag won't accommodate us.

I've seen posts from forum members in Brandon and our side of Cambridgeshire so this would be reasonably accessible for them as well as those traveling from Norwich.

What do we think?

Your move did not go unnoticed - about a month before one of my lads moved for his job and now lives not too far south of Chelmsford :P

I'm in and I'm sure Jamie wouldn't grumble about meeting at the stag

I went there at the start of the month, I think the fire must have made them loose their chef the food wasn't all that.
It used to be so much better!
Please check out my new project.

I’m in Cambridge and would be up for a meet in Norfolk. Good excuse to get coupe out of the garage!

Looks like we can fill a table then

I guess we are talking weekend and Sunday rather than Saturday - am I correct?

Weekends work for me. A morning meet would be good, especially with a 5 week old at home!

I play football Saturday afternoons, Sunday mornings and Sunday afternoons so as long as I know the date I’ll see what I can do (it’s an excuse to give my legs a rest  )

I've liiterally just SORNED the car for the winter and Saturday mornings would be best for me. The lad plays football on a Sunday morning.

Therefore count me out until late spring next year!
