A Morris minor on an undulating twisting ribbon of tarmac early on a summer's morning. Oh those memories. Followed, I still recall vividly, by the sound of metal bouncing down the road, as my mate rolled down a nice long hill, with me in the back. I can laugh now.earthdweller wrote: ↑Fri Oct 12, 2018 9:00 pm10 used to be epic .. as an 18 year old I used to commute early in the morning into manchester flat out in my Morris minor .. that were reet grand

They definitely liked to try to get the back wheels in front of you that’s for sure
Eventually the bottom fell out of mine ( literally ) whilst driving and I moved up to a fiat 127
They were definitely a great way to learn how to respect a rear wheel drive car

Trying to get the moggy sideways at any opportunity with all the 45bhp on tap

My 850 was Dove Grey with burgundy interior and my 1100 Special was Silver with a black vinyl roof and blue tartan interior. Loved them to bits. Used go tear-arseing up your way to Minisport in Padiham most Saturdays to blow my wages on mods....happy days !earthdweller wrote: ↑Sat Oct 13, 2018 7:40 pm Everyone had around mini Si, mostly 850’s all suitable modded with spats and minilites and electric ariels

Well if No. 6 has a saving grace it is that there are long straights and no cameras (yet)!
But it's pretty unexciting - no fast sweepers or any twisties really. And it's definitely one to avoid at weekends - hordes of MAMILs everywhere so you daren't go for it because there are some elevation changes that limit visibility. Plus one or two premises that have horseboxes and you really don't want to encounter one of those pulling out!
