Thanks Craig.

Will sort mine out some time this week, and can we arrange an isolated parking area for non-Zeds.

I’m likely to be in the diseasal Alfa as mine is awaiting major heart surgery at my garage where the spanner monkey/owner is still recovering from major surgery himself :(

Don’t worry, I promise to keep up, and disguise our route with as much soot as I can produce...probably best to keep me st the back though :P

The plus side, is that I’ll probably be able to do the whole route, including the return trips from Liverpool, on 2 tanks :poke:

BTW, did I miss discussion on Sunday night accommodation for the non-locals, or are we waiting for an end-point to work from (or are we doing Inverness to Inverness)?

I’m looking at staying on the Sunday night probably with Atillio somewhere a little further south than Inverness

Not sure yet whether to cross over to the west side and stay near Craig’s ( and have a curry ) or to maybe book the premier inn at Stirling

Haven’t given it too much thought yet .. but I’m not driving s the way back I know that :)

Ideas, suggestions welcome !

I suppose it will depend what time we get back to Inverness (if that is the end point) and how long it takes to get to Glasgow.

I’m staying overnight somewhere, so if there’s time, and it’s not too late, I’ll happily continue to Glasgow and then go south from there the following day.

A good curry would none nice too

I’m happy with a local Premier Inn or Travelodge.

If anyone is looking to avoid the A9 on the way South I will be going back on the Inverness back road and turning off at Belladrum and going over the hill coming out at Invergarry. This would give you guys continuing further South the Glencoe to Loch Lomand or Glencoe to Stirling road which can be good fun.

Shame about your coupe Tony but I have heard the the Alfa is a match for any Zed when you are driving :D :driving:

Looking forward to this now more than ever.

That was my old 115bhp one...my 'new' one has 150bhp

Unfortunately it has lower suspension & bigger wheels, so doesn't absorb the potholes as well - so I may have to take it a bit easier and use the brakes this time

Still to firm up the plans for Day3,as there are a few routes we could take home/to the finish point or further south,
But I will pm or email everyone soon with all necessary information.

Looking forward to this more and more as the details are released. Struggling to decide which menu is the best for Saturday night at the moment though  .
We have booked our accommodation for Sunday evening in Boat of Garten.
Finally Craig thanks for organising this, particularly as your organising a few other events throughout the year. Can’t be easy. A big

Sent you a PM.

The only reason the Alfa is relatively quick, is that I don’t care if I crash it, so drive it with a bit more abandon.

At least I’ve come up with a novel way to keep the miles off the Zed...just keep it in a broken state :P

I’ve probably had more issues with it in the last 15,000 miles/3 years it’s been a 2nd car than I had in the previous 130,000 miles as a daily driver :headbang:
