Yes - Scotland is like the Lakes on steroids but without the traffic :D :driving:

Lake district is superb as long as you avoid the Windermere area. It's pretty much my second home only being an hours drive away, esp the Buttermere, Ennerdale area (western lakes). Roads very quiet and scenery to die for.

If only people would stop publicising how great the Lakes and the North are.
That way we can keep the roads quiet and too ourselves :poke:
