Cars and coffee meets midlands....23rd SEPTEMBER CANCELLED DUE TO WEATHER

Post by Beedub » Fri Aug 24, 2018 2:19 pm

Anyone up for some small car and coffee meets in the west mids birmingham, if i get enough interest i would like to run an event over the summer months, maybe every fortnight is abit much thinking about it... , maybe once a month but i think it could be great, if anyones interested check out my idea on my blog and let me no. This would need to be a strictly respectful event but its something ive always wanted to do but never had the space.

Beedub, Reading the link appears to be linked with your business?

If so, llike to suggest could also consider making it a Beedub ‘Grand Tour’, picking to meet at a couple of different racing circuites when they have a quiet Sunday all over the country - only downside is a bit of a trek to some places, though of course clearly then a business expense.

yeah i was hoping to use the business industrial park on a sunday as its closed, i cant really afford to hire out a circuit every month... wish i could.... so my plan was .... utilise a space i've already paid for. Its a good idea however and maybe in the future could be possible. any feedback is welcome so thank you. At least at my own space i could put up a BBQ and do some baps and offer tea and coffee..... plus no one would need to pay, bar for food and drink. Obviously space is limited so the numbers would be and i would imagine not many will travel too far so i guess it could be more of a midlanders thing, with everyone welcome of course.

You don’t have to hire the circute, for example on some Sundays Brands Hatch is almost deserted where some of us have just agreed to meet & had breakfast in the onsite cafe... followed by a chat n poke around the cars... then watched a bit of testing

The only cost is potentially fuel, time, the bizzy lizzy bridge & a cooked breakfast

Cars and coffee meets midlands....

Post by eff1guy » Fri Aug 24, 2018 9:23 pm

Just had a look at the blog, sounds like a great idea, everyone loves a detail meet  I'd definitely be up for it as nothing seems to happen meets wise in the West Mids.
I used to live in Shenstone 30 odd years ago  didn't realise they had a car club let alone a track!? :driving:
I had been contemplating getting in touch over the last few days anyway regarding your detailing services so it would be a good place for a potential meet for me.
If you're thinking of September it would have to be any of the first 3 Sundays for me, I'm potentially in Lossiemouth on the 23rd and then away on holiday the following week. When do you start your Kamikaze training?
Next Z landed ..... Z3 3.0i Sport Roadster

Z4 35iS ..... Gone to a new home

Awesome looks like ill get a few show up and totally agree the Mids is DEAD for meets hence why id like to CREATE one.... PH got a decent response rate also... YES shenstone has its own club and owns a local sprint circuit called cur borough sprint course... ive grown up at that venue!! Such a good place. Re Business drop me a PM as the mods will sort me out, the kamikaze product training is mid september, cant wait to get my hands on Zipang. I will do my first meet on sunday 23rd so i can gather a few people up and i will have done the kamikaze Certified dealer training so i can "hopefully" showcase some products on the day.
I wasn't really aiming for this to be a detailing type meet, of course we can chat about anything on the day, was actually hoping for a more relaxed cars and coffee type meet. I may just do a alittle demo on a different subject each meet. I think it could really work nicely!

Drop me a PM re business related activity or catch me on my thread in the business section...
