Next leg of the route from ullapool to wick. Left bright and early in more glorious sunshine to finish of the North West coast. Quick stop in Lochiniver for some fuel then continued up to Stoer Lighthouse. From there we headed up to smoo caves for lunch.

The beaches and roads are absolutely epic, this part of Scotland is stunning. From the caves we drove to John O Groats before arriving in wick for our overnight stop. Edinburgh today, hoping for some good weather again.

NC500 day 3

Post by jamesditchy » Sat May 19, 2018 6:44 am

Last day today before we head to Edinburgh for a few days. Lovely start to the day with blessed weather again.

Hotel was a lovely location with breakfast served to the room. A lovely flowing drive down the A9 to where it all began. A bit dirtier, a bit less rubber but very satisfied. To say we were lucky with the weather is probably a major understatement. Until next time.

Great little blog. Have enjoyed reading the past few evenings. Just makes me want to jump in the Zed and drive up there, with my walking boots.

Have a safe journey home. :driving:

Done all of it on a push bike, 38 years ago. Only driven up as far as skye. I will find the time one day to drive all of it, but the mountains keep calling me off the road, so it's slow progress. :D
