I am currently trying to plan a bit of a day trip through Wales with some friends, I live near Worcester and will be going from there. I know the Brecon beacons are not too far with some great routes and the Wye valley, but has anyone been around that area that could recommend a route or specific roads to track down? Any advice would be great!
Thanks all

B4560 between Ebbw Vale and Llandynidr - used loads by Chris Harris, Evo, Carfection videos etc.
A470 between Merthyr and Brecon
A4059 heading north from Penderyn - epic road, doesn't really go any where - do it one way then turn round and do it the other.
Also although I haven't been there, roads between Aberdare and Bridgend look pretty good.
maybe B4521 and B4233 heading east from Abergavenny on the way back?

Thanks, that’s great. I’m still in two minds as to whether is should try to get to the evo triangle and back in a day but it’s a bit of a trek to get there. Is it worth it or are the roads around the Brecons just as good? I do quite like the drive towards Monmouth and through Ross to be honest.
