Custom Cruise Control Loom

Post by Bertz4 » Sat Jan 27, 2018 10:06 am

Finally fitted my cruise control yesterday and it works! Many thanks to Srhutch for the loom and consise instructions. As a bonus the car seems to running smoother after a few hours with the battery disconnected.

Quick question on this, is pin 39 on the grey connector easy to spot ? Are the pin numbers written on the connector ? (I have a facelift N52 model)

Yes, the plastic plugs are numbered.

For clarification I made a slight alternation to the docs recently as it was pointed out the grey plug is in two sections, one of which is grey and one black which led to a little confusion.

You then need to connect it into Pin 39 of the grey plug (two section grey and black in the grey plug. It goes in the black section)

A little late, though many thanks for the supply & fit Steve.

Has been working faultlessly since, making 30mph zones a breeze, not a speedo distracting liability.

Hi, I am interested in this too. I've read all the posts in this thread, but I'm still quite unsure about the installation of the cc. Am I correct in thinking that srhutch provides all the wiring, but I'd need to have my own stalk and the cowl with a space for it (or a cut out in the existing one)?

Would a cc stalk from a different bmw series fit the E85?

I've got a 2.5si N52 and perhaps would be interested in this kit, once I can understand a little more about the installation :)
