"Reduction in price to move hood motor into boot"

Thats a bargain price, did mine myself which took all day but now knowing whats involved it would take me a lot less time, I was lucky my motor was fine, it had been changed sometiume in its past judging by the non bmw warranty lable I found on mine. Secured it to its new home using zip ties to the bracket behind the boot carpet and wrapped some foam around it to keep the noise down. The plastic case it was in was a bit bulky to fit behind the carpet so I didn't use it. Drilled some holes in the shelf support bracket to feed the hoses and cable back into the interior and job was done. The most difficult parts were extracting the motor from its original location having to pull it up until the zip ties holding it in there snal akllowing it to be lifted out. Putting the shelf retaining clips back in was also a pain, difficult to get hands around the shelf to pop them back in, they have to be in the correct position to get them to click back in.
