Hi PAH,

I also emailed and used FB messenger. I did get a reply, but not a conformation. They might be busy. All the BMW Indy's (good ones near me) are all having a 3 week lead time for work.

Hmm yes, I have no experience of him myself, but I hardly think you could read all that then class him as a BMW Indy!

I’ve used him a few times and whilst it can be frustrating trying to contact him, bear in mind he’s a one man band and gets many enquiries, not all of them leading to work. He admins a Facebook page so try all forms of communication with him. He may not be able to respond immediately or same day which is what most expect but persevere as he knows his stuff.

Some of what has gone on has been pretty disappointing, but if you take your car there for a job you only pay once it's done!

Back in 2016 before Mike had premises I took my car to him to get the corroded rear brake pipes replaced and a flip-style key cut and coded. I was very pleased with what he did and what he charged.

But you need to make your own judgement.
Coupes because stunning!

I have visited mike and the Z shed a few times and went yesterday to have some exhaust work done. I have been satisfied with the work he has undertaken on each occasion and will no doubt use his services again in the future.
Each time i have been he has given me a quote beforehand and undertaken the work as agreed.
Only difficulty I had was contacting him to book the car in, but I am aware that he is very busy. Then I guess he's very busy for a reason.

Over the last few years ive used mike and the zed shed a fair few times .
And i will still take it there regardless of reading all the stuff on the forum as long as i get a good job done at the right price .
It wasnt that long ago i got a shoddy job done by a respected indi specialist , and when i posted about it on here i had a few private messages asking why i had posted about it ,and it might be better if i had a quiet word with them instead .
If you have a real experiance of a garage then get it said good or bad .
Above are two examples of real experiance of two garages that conflict with what you may read on the forum .
