Out of curiosity - how much would it cost (roughly) to wrap a 2003 Z4 E85 in a nice metallic black? Mine is Sapphire Black which I like, but the paint work has seen better days so curious how wrapping (as closely matching the original colour as poss.) would fair up again a respray
NO LONGER OWN A Z4 SO NOT AS ACTIVE HERE ANYMORE (IF AT ALL).

Your looking around 1850 with forum discount..... If you wrapped onto an already black car its much easier to do as you dont have to "hide" the original colour as much in terms of the seams etc..... The effect would look like paint in this case... nothing less. Which isnt always the caseIAmOrion wrote: ↑Sat Dec 29, 2018 3:11 am Out of curiosity - how much would it cost (roughly) to wrap a 2003 Z4 E85 in a nice metallic black? i'm really surprised you say that..... a proper 3 stage correction would render even the most poor condition paintwork to a near mirror finish.... The results i get from a 2 stage usually blows the customers mind but a 3 stage is a different thing.... we are talking 25hrs plus of correction work.basil the dog wrote: ↑Sat Dec 29, 2018 8:48 pm plus one, same as IAmOrion , had a three stage polish but wasn't that impressed with it

...and how much are the different stage polishes?Beedub wrote: ↑Sat Dec 29, 2018 11:05 pm i'm really surprised you say that..... a proper 3 stage correction would render even the most poor condition paintwork to a near mirror finish.... I'm always broke, so sadly £1850 is outta my price range (and for numerous reasons, I don't do credit. I had a bad experience when I was 18 and have never used credit since. If I can't afford it outright, I won't do it)

it was far from mirror finish, i think i got stung for £450 as i had to pick it up after work and it was outside and had been raining so could'nt
really get a good idea, it's only now ,a few months down the road and seeing other cars that have had the same polish from a different outfit that it shows,

your looking at around 260 for a single stage package over to 700ish for a 3 stage..... forum members get an additional 10% .... i usually undercut my competitors by quite some margin. The results from a 3 stage correction is literally unbelievable.... If the works done correctly and its ALOT of work... When i do the detailing stuff i'm earning every penny, proper graft!IAmOrion wrote: ↑Sat Dec 29, 2018 11:08 pm...and how much are the different stage polishes?Beedub wrote: ↑Sat Dec 29, 2018 11:05 pm i'm really surprised you say that..... a proper 3 stage correction would render even the most poor condition paintwork to a near mirror finish.... ouch.... sadly the price point says it all...... 3 stage correction for this money is either someone starting out and trying to make a name or someone who doesn't have a clue possibly both.... the work involved its just not viable at 450 quid.basil the dog wrote: ↑Sat Dec 29, 2018 11:13 pm it was far from mirror finish, i think i got stung for £450 as i had to pick it up after work and it was outside and had been raining so could'nt

I think it was the latter of the two,if i ever come up your way(so to speak) i'll swing by and see if you reckon a single or double stage would work rather than a wrap then book it in with you.Beedub wrote: ↑Sat Dec 29, 2018 11:16 pmouch.... sadly the price point says it all......
