Mine has a crack about an inch from the side & I got the dealer to examine it: they think something hit it so, sadly, it would cost me about £82GBP to replace :-(

My cracked about a month or two after buying my used 2003 2.5i. The dealer replaced it free of charge.

I had no luck with my dealer - they denied all knowledge :(

It is easy to fit yourself with a few tools...

Does the crack due to the screw tension only appear in the corners? or can it be a cause of a crack in the middle of the light?

Dunno, but I had one in the corner and when I took it out I then found one in the middle. My car was supposed to have the revised springs on it though :?

My crack was exactly like the bulletin. Service advisor and service manager gave me a lot of grieve about it not being a waranty issue. Thanks to the old forum I had the bulletin with me.
