Lubrication - Silicone Spray

Does anyone use BMW Silicone Spray on hinges and locks, or WD40?
Current BMW: 640d Gran Coupe M Sport (F06), 118d SE (F20).
Previous BMW: Z4 sDrive23i M Sport (E89), 318i Sport (F30), 120d SE (F20), Z4 2.5i Sport Roadster (E85), 523i Sport (E60), 323Ci (E46), 523i SE (E39), 318i (E36).

Silicone spray - it doesn't drip! I find WD40 can create a paste with the dust which can have an abrasive action on metal faces and joints.

I want to lubricate the bonnet catch and door hinges/locks. I better get silicone spray from dealer. Thanks. :)

WD40 isn't the best lubricant

wd40 is a water dispersant mostly molykote dry film lube is really good if you can get hold of any
Z4M interlagos blue black leather and carbon weave with a few very subtle mods
