Maurits' progress thread: '03 E85 3.0i (now) supercharged & '08 E86 3.0si
Hi guys,
Just a shout out from yet another enthusiastic in the Z-lane. My name is Maurits and I live just outside Den Bosch , the Netherlands. I am also one of the administrators of the one and only Z-enthusiasts forum in the Netherlands: http://www.z3forum.nl (my user name is "Maurits" there). Don’t let the name trick you; what started as a Z3 forum meanwhile has just as much Z4 drivers onboard. Though most of it is in Dutch, please feel free to have a look around and know that most Dutch people are more than willing to reply in English.
Last December I swapped my first Z4 – a ’07 2.5si – for a 2003 Z4 3.0i. First of all because I was pretty much done modding, second of all because I really like the M52 engine.
Of course: any and all threads are useless without specs and accompanying pics.
My first Z4 (2007 2.5si in Monaco blue with cream leather):
Mods:
- M front with skid plates and license plate sticker;
- 19” Beyern Multispoke in 8.5J / 9.5J with 235/35/19 and 265/30/19 Pirelli’s;
- 5mm spacers on the rear side;
- KW coilovers and springs (approximately 35 mm lowering);
- Wiechers front strut brace
- X3 radio knobs;
- stubby;
- silver logo’s;
- etc., etc.
Pics:
My current Z4 (as of December ’11: 2003 3.0i in silver with black leather):
Mods (thus far):
- 19” Interaction wheels in 8.5J/9.57 with Michelin PS;
- Stüber Quad exhaust;
- US tail lights (2x2 white dots) without the “half moons”;
- new centercaps (BMW instead of ‘bling, bling’ Interaction);
- facelift air vents left and right;
- M steering wheel (of course MF);
- M short shift knob;
- Wiechers front strut brace;
- X3 radio knobs;
- stubby;
- sound isolation of the doors and the plastic front windshield upholstery;
- etc., etc.
Next mod will likely again be an M front, or some new rims (as the current ones were selected by the previous owner. They are not as bling as they look on the photo, still better options available as far as I am concerned)
Pics:
That’s it for now. Hope to be around here more often!

Hi and welcome, loving those bayern multi spokes . I have the Bayern mesh on my car at the moment but have always had a soft spot for multi spokes.
Live life on the edge or you are taking up to much space!

Thanks guys! Yeah I really liked the looks of the Multispokes as well (especially on a dark Z), but unfortunately, they are not really up to the Dutch climate that involves frost, snow and salt on the roads at the most unexpected times ... Quite some chips on the finish of the dishes after just two years of driving...
