New To The Forum (well nearly new)
Time to introduce myself. My name is John and I live in the UK. I have being viewing the forum for a while now and actually joined earlier this week. I don’t have a Z4 yet, but I am looking for a low mileage E86 (something below 30,000). I am very fussy and it would have to be a good example. I don’t have a preference for colour yet but certainly not black or white. My mechanical knowledge is low and when I get my car I am sure I will need help from forum members.
I don't care what you say, I won't agree with your view.

Thanks for the correction John. I did put that in myself, but then changed it. Thanks again.

Hi and welcome to the forum Mr Grumpy, although you seem to have been quite busy on here already!
E86s are great cars, but saying that I might be a bit biased.
White is pretty rare, but of the 2,189 3.0Si Coupes that came to the UK nearly half of them are one of the 4 blacks that were offered! And when you want less than 30K miles you might need to be patient and/or willing to travel!
It's your choice, but I wouldn't get too hung up on mileage as the N52 engine doesn't have a problem with high mileages - I had a 325i 3 Series with an N52 that had done 139K when I sold it and it still pulled strongly and smoothly.
Anyway good luck with your search.

Yes, they are great engines.
I've had 2 in E86s, that one in my 325i and currently have one in my 330i that replaced the 325i and has done 115K miles but still runs just fine. Their only potential issues seem to be oil leaks from the cam-cover gasket and oil filter housing, plus the notorious electric water pump dying!
