Hi everyone!
I’ve been looking for a Z4 for a long time now and when I saw the car throttle video on them trading one up I knew I had to try and get a coupe!
https://youtu.be/iw44wXv6QgM
Anyway a week later I messaged my longest friend who happens to work for CT himself and told me that they still had the coupe and that he would put an offer on it for me! A few days later it was mine and I love it!
Came in my favourite colour and best spec of only it had the champagne seats! Anyway I’ve got a few other modified cars and classics (I’ll attach some photos if anyone’s interested!) so wondering what to do with this one. Keep oem and really clean or start to modify?
Glad to be a member and hopefully see some of you at upcoming meets!

Hello again.
Some interesting cars there especially the Lotus, although the house almost upstages it!
Your Coupe has quite a few of the popular options like heated seats, rear parking sensors, Cruise and the MFSW - plus the Cirrus Aluminium trim which I really like. It's much better than the standard brushed aluminium.
I know what you mean about the black interior which isn't helped by having a black headlining that Sport models all had, although I'm not sure I'd want Champagne with what looks like Silver Grey paint. I'd prefer red, or one of the Bi-Colour options. They have black centres and red, blue, yellow or "Silverstone" bolsters.
I can see why you are looking for some wheels - MV2s are a b*gger to clean (my first one had them) and they don't look great in black. My 2nd one had 108s but they are prone to corrosion around the split-rim bolt-heads and cost plenty to refurb. So while they were still in good nick I replaced them with a set of 295s from an E89 Z4 which sat much further out in the arches and were so easy to clean. I never had an issue with rubbing, although some owners have done.
OE or modify is a tough call - it really depends what you prefer. Although with modded cars on here they generally seem to sell better returned to standard, and give a better return selling the mods separately.
295s look like this.

Welcome to the forum! That's a great collection you have. I'm on my second Mini, and my first one was an R56 Cooper S. I've never driven an R53. I also have an MX-5, but it's an ND - I'd love a go in an NA.
Glad to see the CT coupe pop up on here - we had a thread going on it: viewtopic.php?f=2&t=130715
You just missed ZEDfest, pictures here: viewtopic.php?f=6&t=130881
You might be able to get in to the Ace Cafe meet in September if it's convenient for you: viewtopic.php?f=14&t=127279

Welcome to the forum, great mix of vehicles you have
I love that Lotus, what a cool car. Not a Lotus expert, but I believe it’s an Excel?

Hi mate thanks very much! Yes you are correct that’s a 1985 lotus excel! Great car and it can’t rust which is good for me as my Landy and mx5 seem to rust for funBig Bad Boris wrote: ↑Thu Aug 26, 2021 8:22 am Welcome to the forum, great mix of vehicles you have
