Thanks. Took a trip to Hallfords and gave my e89 a good wash and used a G3 clay mitt and was really impressed with it. Finished with some G3 superwax. Quite a few dings on side panels so will get a quote from dent people.
Here are a few photos.

Just trying to work something out. whenever I pop the boot it doesn't lift up which I think it is supposed to and is also quite heavy to lift up up so I'm guessing the struts have depressurised so just ordered two of them and will see if that makes a difference.

The boot only opens just far enough to get your fingers underneath. Always worth lifting from the bottom edge rather than applying all that weight to the roundel/handle.
Mine is not too bad to lift so maybe it is your rams getting tired. Not too pricey to swap.

Always happy to help if I can.

If the forum helped you, why not help the forum back. Thats the Z4 way!

Yes I have to grab from the bottom Edge as scared to break the badge off but in the manual says the boot should lift right up fully Open.
Does anyone's boot on their e89 lift right up when they press the key fob as mine doesn't

Neither of mine did, just released the mechanism and raised slightly to allow it to be lifted by hand
