I bike up your way often, pretty sure you will recognise this.

Yep lol, very close indeed. I have pics of my last 4 bikes at that gate.

Fiancée and I are hoping to do Skye in a few weeks overnight, but will be a school night. She is a terrible passenger, part of the reason I sold the 718 Boxster as I couldn't drive it spiritedly with her in it and if I'm out on my own it's the bike.

We’re just back from Inverness and it was a great run in the new car. Came back via Glen Coe.

I’m sure you’ll have a fantastic time and the speed is a bit more deceptive in the G29 so you might get a bit more fun before the speed limiter kicks in

Lol, she is actually fine with speed, it's corners she hates.

Did Paisley/Tyndrum/Glencoe/Oban/Inveraray and home on Monday on the S1000R, my normal run, superb.

You not had your car long then?

Tell her to shut her eyes on the corners

Canny believe you missed out Inveraray/Lochgilphead/Oban out of that run, especially on a bike

Picked it up last Saturday, was also in Glen Coe on Monday. Came the long way back from Inverness

So, Scubaregs. Were/are you a diver also?
Reason I ask (apart from your username) is I was a diver up until around 10 years ago.

Yes, did a dive in Barbados around twenty years ago and was hooked. Only dive on holiday, nearly always Barbados with the original instructor who is now a very good friend. Small dive boat, Ram the owner is 75 this year and still diving most days. I leave my gear with the exception of my regs with him. The boat has a very loyal following and as a result we have a large group of friends from it, in fact we are staying with one couple in their beachfront condo in September, all going well. We should have been getting married on the beach next month, but Covid put paid to that.

Why did you stop diving, may I ask?

I had a bike accident and damaged my knee, thigh muscle and cracked ribs.
It took a while for my ripped thigh muscle to go back to normal and over 18 months for my knee to heal.
My knee for years gave me problems while carrying stuff and as my diving was mostly shore based here in Scotland with a fair bit of weight to carry over rough ground I thought I might have ended up a liability so gave it up and sold all my kit other than my Scubabpro mask and Cressi fins and snorkel.

Ah shame, not a fan of shore dives, prefer boat.

So saying Pete who stayed aboard whilst we dived didn't have the best eyesight, more than once our group has bobbed about the Caribbean for an hour or so watching the boat going back and forth whilst he tried to find us.

Cheers, San Francisco red was my preferred colour, lucky to find a car that ticked all the boxes for me in it.
