New Z4 owner in NZ!

Post by T-MinxNZ » Sat Jun 26, 2021 3:02 am

Hello! I just took possession of my new (to me) 2012 Z4 SDrive 20i yesterday! I love her! As an import, she didn't come with a manual, and this forum has already been super helpful for figuring out stuff!

Keen to hear from anyone in Auckland NZ in this forum. Am I in a club now? 😆

Hi, welcome to the forum

You’ll get love round here for a first post picture - that always goes down well

Car looks lovely & having spent a bit of time in NZ many moons ago - Tauranga & Bay of Plenty area - unless that area has changed you are going to have some views to die for whilst you drive top down!

Just remember to put the top up as you approach the Sulphurus Rotarura(?). I could never get used to it

There are a couple of NZ based forumers who will be along shortly to introduce themselves I imagine

Enjoy the car :driving:

Welcome to Z4 ownership. Nice looking car. When I started shopping for a Z4 I wasn't that keen on white but every time I see a photo of one now I like it more and more.

I am in Christchurch and purchased a Jap import 2010 35i a couple of months ago. Mine came with no manual and no history although it appears to have been looked after.

If you have iDrive and want it upgraded to NZ maps and Bluetooth contact this Guy, he did a great job on mine;

Kyo
Auto gravity
379 Dominion road, Mt Eden
09 6390168

And you can download a .pdf manual from https://bmwsections.com/docs/z4/

Also, if you want to see all the options on your car when it left the factory, enter the VIN at https://bimmer.work/

Hope this helps.

Mike you wee legend - thank you!!!

I bought my car through Vision Autos and they had the iDrive upgraded for me using Auto Gravity - they did an awesome job!

And thanks for the manual and link to bimmer work - really appreciate it :)

Thank you!!! I read the forum quite a bit before first posting, and definitely picked up on the vibe that first posts without pics weren't really good form!

I'm sure there have to be some Z4 enthusiasts up here in AKL - hopefully they'll raise their hands soon :)

Lol, tell me about it! I'm out horseriding twice a week so I now carry a towel to cover my seat, and a spare pare of shoes to change in to so I don't track muddy boots into it! Was never this precious with my axela!!

I collected my daughter from horse riding in the Zed yesterday and made her put her boots in the back and ride home in socks.

How many KMs has your car got? Did it come with lots of options?
