Loving the zed after 3 weeks

Post by Southwestz4 » Thu Jun 24, 2021 9:55 am

Hi all
I'm new to the forum and thought I would share my first thoughts of the zed !
Being an ex biker ( very recently) I wanted something to replace the bike type fun and I have to say the zed fits the bill !
I find the ride a bit hard on our rubbish Cornish roads but so worth it in the twisty bits :driving:
I have a 54 reg 3.0 i in stirling silver with 68k.
I have already done a few bits to the car...
4x Michelin pilot 4s
New dab head unit
Sachs rear springs
Service and new gearbox oil ( Redline Mtl )...this has improved 1st to 2nd gear change.
Considering the CDV removal.
I'm sure the list will get longer as the months go on !
Cheers Andy

Say there Andy!!! Welcome and nice zed you have there. (little bias as I own a 05 same color wheels etc.) I have only been forum member for about a year but the folks on here are 1. knowledgeable about our cars 2. Have a passion for them. 3. Just a all around nice group. Everyday I hope on this forum I learn more and more about our cars just reading the topics.

Welcome, lovely looking car and the wheels really suit the Z. I find the Michelin’s excellent and the CDV delete is well worth doing. Quite a few things you can do to these cars and plenty info on this great forum.

Thanks for all the  comments.
Will definitely do the CDV delete now thanks to you all saying its worth while plus its a easy job and I do all my car work myself.
I did think about a wheel colour change but not so sure now !
I fitted cruise control yesterday and did some coding via Carly ...just can't get mirrors to fold on locking car :(
