Straight in at the deep end. Z4MR

Post by SkyBluePenguin87 » Thu Jun 10, 2021 11:24 am

Hi All,

Thought i'd introduce myself following my recent purchase of the Z4M roadster from a fellow forum member.

I'm 30 years old and live about 10 mins away from Caffeine and Machine! (First trip planned next weekend in the new car). Would love to get a group of us over there at some point. I'm sure there are plenty of posts regarding that and I'll find them at some point.

In the mean time... here are some pictures on my way home through the Cotswolds.

Thanks

Lovely car OP - nice timing too, plenty of sunshine to get outand enjoy it in!

Another 2nd Z4 owner here - couldn't afford (justify to the wife) an M when I first bought my 3.0si coupe. 7 years and I'm still here  it's an affliction!

Sure is!

I highly doubt I'll be the youngest member. Having binge watched "It's Joel" videos on YouTube recently, I believe the E85 still appeals very much to the 'younger' crowd.

The wife also approves which helps, she went for a drive in it earlier (with me of course).

Thank you for the warm welcome all!

I meant the youngest member of this forum. Most of them are about 80

 I guess I might be the next youngest at 32? Damn you for taking my crown

PS, good work on convincing the wife - mine 'tolerates' mine  she doesn't mind going places in it (surprisingly the carbon buckets are really comfy once in them...!) but HATES driving it. It's too clunky and doesn't sound as good as her M135i did apparently?

Hi and welcome to the madhouse.

It must feel great jumping in at the deep end and if the Mrs likes it that just makes life so much easier!

Ed Doe definitely hit the nail on the head though - Z4s are an affliction, and I'm afflicted.

Have a great summer. :driving:
