Z4 help in Eastbourne

Post by GG0968 » Sat Jun 05, 2021 5:55 pm

Hell0 - just joined. Hope everyone here is we..

Does anyone here know a decent (not South Coast Garage - they never return my calls) - a decent independent z4 specialist? Mine needs some attention - specifically the power hood. There is absolutely no power to it whatsoever. Nothing at all happens.

You could try Munich Legends or BMR performance. Personal preference would be BMR.

Have you done any diagnostics yourself?
Could be a fuse or the roof motor dead.

Lots of people have had the roof motor moved into the boot.

Welcome to the forum with your smart looking Z4.

There are a few people on here who have been fixing and relocating roof motors for years, but the nearest to you is "bowser134" in Hook, Hants.

I know that isn't exactly local but after 15 years at Sytner Ross set up RBM Hampshire on his own in late 2019 and I know 2 forum members who have travelled to him from Essex! He has a couple of other guys working for him too.

Plus he can now do any other work you want done if that makes a trip more worthwhile. Here's a link to his business:- https://www.rbmhampshire.co.uk/

I have no affiliation other than as a happy customer, but you can find plenty of other positive feedback on here. He has done a few jobs on my MC including an Inspection 2 and replacement rod bearing shells, and has had my 3 Series a couple of times as well!
Coupes because stunning!
Current - Silver Grey MC, Imola Red heated Nappa & carbon trim. Aeros, H & R Coil-overs, 224s, OE Strut brace, Nav, cup-holders, DSP Hi-Fi, pdc, cruise, MFSW, no CDV! E90 330i daily
Gone - Montego Blue
Gone - Ruby Black
