Hi all

I recently bought TeeMacs car (E39 35is) having seen it advertised on here.

Nearly had it a week and as it’s stopped raining now I’ve had it machine polished and given it a clean. Car was a credit to TeeMac.. For a 10 year old car it was in great condition. I’ll move onto sorting the seat bolsters wear in a week or 2 then the car will be as perfect as I want it to be …. for now :)

Had my first open to drive in it and loving the sound of the engine and the way the car drives. Car gets loads of compliments which had surprised me. Had 3 neighbours stopping to talk about it which hasn’t happened with any of the other cars I’ve owned. My 12year old is also loving it which is one of the reasons I bought the car…. bit of father and son bonding time now ive retired.

Sorry for the poor pictures but here he is :)

Nice one! Pleased you are happy with it.
I still don't get why BM painted the mirrors silver on the 35is when all the others were body colour?
All good things come to those who wait. I'm really impatient which explains a lot.

F31 320i. Good car.
E89 20i Now fully dried
Z3 'free litre'. Project and a half. Complicated!
Mazda3 sold
Tatty old R56 Mini Cooper. Money pit!

I hope you said "No; when you've got your own car, then you can".
That would be my response, but I am renowned for being quite horrible. My 15 YO daughter couldn't give a sh*t and won't go in my Focus at all cos it pops and bangs and she says it's chavvy! :D

Yes, I’m not sure on the silver mirrors either. I’d possibly get them painted or wrapped but I generally like to keep my cars standard.

Yes, he is a he……don’t we all name our cars?

It’s great to get extra time together…and find a new hobby together, even if doesn’t last

    Welcome anyway!

Absolutely not, definitely encourage him. He was actually showing me cars he likes for his 17th birthday. My daughter “requests” we don’t use the Z4 when going anywhere

Both my kids refuse to get in their mums chavvy Subaru

That's fortunate then. Seeing as you don't actually own one!  :poke:
