As suspected removing the front 10mm spacers removed the vibration. Ran down the freeway 90-95 mph and no vibration at any speed.
I'll be contacting the eBay seller for a refund and I'll probably just leave these off as I like the look of a wider rear end stance now. Just like the Mrs

The new smartview MMI from Bimmertech arrived. I'm trying hard to understand the installation instructions. Looks simple enough if you are a genius
Can't wait to have Google maps and Waze displayed on the iDrive.

I've got an inquiry into to bimmertech.com about adding the backup camera option to this install. The install looks a bit epic so I thought I would not want to take it half apart again to add the camera I so miss... We've become dependent. But in our defense they are invaluable tools. Okay and for fun - I got the Z car a driver's hat.

Funny that I thought I would miss not having a back up camera when I first got my Zed since my other cars have it, but now after having the car 6 months I can't really say I do, the parking sensors with the pictogram in the iDrive are pretty good enough.

There are some things us commoners are better off not knowing.
Mine is a base model. All I got was a sore neck and a guess at where I'm going

What did you newbies do to your car today?
Weeeel I installed a dashcam just a cheapy from Amazon along with a hardwire kit, as it appears that people in Fiat 500s can't see my Zed. The cabling itself went well, almost too well even the hanging upside down whilst trying to maneuver the wire into the back of the fuse box wasn't too bad.....this is where things got a little bizarre
After removing the panel in the passenger footwell, I noticed a hole, complete with wiring leading to it, so I go back to the spec sheet (I bought the car second hand from an independent who gave me all the original dealer paperwork complete with the credit card receipts for the services) no mention of footwell lighting so much time spent here along with other resources and bulb suppliers trying to find a bulb that would fit.... I have just discovered that BMW put an "accessory charging point" here!
After realising this, I put everything back together and went to find the camera to power up, could I find it? Looked throughout the house, everywhere that I'd been and concluded after a few hours that it must have disappeared when I popped out to the shops, either falling out of my pocket or the door as I got out after spending all this time searching I then decided to see whether I could find something that used the same connector just to check it was still powered - when was the last thing you touched (other than a dashcam) that uses mini USB?
By now it was pitch black outside and I thought I ought to get my torch back from the car, so in a rare blast of common sense I picked up one of my spare torches and went out, after poking around under the passenger seat, I found my good torch along with the dashcam, complete with its magnetic base which decided to stick itself to the underside of the seat.
Is this typical of E89 ownership?

I sat in it in the garage for a minute to remind myself what a brilliant car it is because it’s winter and driving opportunities are rare.
