Hi there,

Had my 2003 2.5i for about a year now. Yes of course its a money pit, but when on form and running well, I've never owned a car that can put such a smile on my face - And then you hit the sport button...... :fuelfire:

I got lucky to find such a high spec model, with factory sat-nav (still flips up and down - just about), electric leather memory seats, Xenons - all the toys I wanted.

Had the alloys refurbished since this photo, and they look really sharp again. Calipers are gloss black now.

Next job is the N/S headlight - Cant find the source but it fills with water on a regular basis and has now knocked out the Xenon only.

Looked for a replacement headlight unit, but appears I have to sell a kidney as the Xenon compatible versions are circa £900 on Ebay. Had a local garage look around too but they have struggled to find anything.

Hoping the forum can help with any suggestions as to where else i might be able to buy a new / refurbed unit, or anyone have one for sale?

Thank you.

Any tips on sourcing the headlight unit at all?

Welcome- you don’t need a new light necessarily. If the xenon is out it is because the water has drained into the ballast that is easily replaced

Then you just need a new rear seal- circa £20 from bmw.

Welcome to the forum, the Z4 does put a smile on your dial. Nice colour and the wheels do look good. Good luck fixing the xenon.
