Thrilled about my new Z4
Hi everyone - thank you so much for the warm wellcome
A small contribution from my part, for what it's worth. Car wouldn't start Saturday morning at a friends house, who had by the way left for the airport = no tools, no toilet, no coffee. Called tow-truck. Battery OK, so probably starter, starter relay or grounding cables. Got it towed to my garage. Called my dad (who's 77 y.o.) for advice. "Hit the starter gently with a hammer - that should fix it". So took my E81 to the garage to hammer the Z4. Problem solved. Right now driving around with stick and hammer should it happen again .
Update on the improvement list: My 16. y.o. son came by yesterday (lives with his mom) and we went bezerk. Here's what we accomplished:
- New brake light on tailgate
- New rainsensor
- New micro air filter (what a hazzle to get there, even for a slim 16. y.o. )
- Cleaned and re-oiled all leather
- Silioned every piece of rubber
- Hopefylly fixed the top, which was folding wrongly

Thanks Mr Tidy - yes, got lucky I think. Even folding mirrors and cupholders Only short of M-sports seats, which I have in my E81 and would have lovedd to have, but they are very rare and I am actually not uncomfortable in the standards. Drove it home from Berlin to Copenhagen for 8 hours and still comfortable and they are actually still quite nice looking too. So gave them leather grease yesterday and now they look fantastic.
