Hello, recently bought a 2011 Z4 23i, nice car low mileage . Want to get dash cam (front and rear) fitted. Had a bad experience with Halfords. Could anyone advise me on a company that would be able to help?

Thank you, I don’t mind paying that if the job is a good one.

I am looking to get a set of Blackvue DR920. The front camera is 4K and the rear is 1080p. They seem to be going for around the £350 mark on eBay

I have a Blackvue DR650. Genuinely fantastic piece of kit with front (1080p) and rear cameras (720p). Really clear and can be set up to turn on to motion. Easy to install with sufficient cable and discrete. Be careful if you don't drive the car every day though as it will drain your battery (easy to wire in a cut off for it). Its easy to connect to your phone although download over wireless is a little slow - its faster to unlplug the memory card and stick it in your handset.

Honestly I don't see the point in 4k for it as it just means a larger requirement for memory (and no doubt power). If its for security then you just need to be able to read number plates / see faces and 1080p is more than adequate.

Thanks for the advise, I may go for the 720 rather than the 920 in that case
