Lovely car, welcome! Someone seems to have chopped your aerial though, you can get a nice standard online :)

Brace yourself for the inevitable post to follow, regarding the non-standard little stubby you have. :D

Hi and welcome Dave.

There is no right answer to the aerial question - I've had both and don't have a particular preference! Currently got a whippy, for now!
Coupes because stunning!

I take back the aerial quip. Both are great, but bottom line is you've got a cracker of a car, congrats!

Thanks to all for the warm welcome.

I've come from a Lexus IS 300H hybrid (CVT gearbox), so the Z4 is very different.

The Lexus was pretty quick (223 BHP) and very refined and quiet, but fancied something a little more exciting now that the kids have left home. Not had a convertible since my Triumph Stag in the early 80's.

First impressions are pretty good. Engine is smooth and ride/handling is impressive. Gearbox feels a little notchy but did seem to improve as engine warmed and I started to get used to it. Noise in the cabin a little higher than expected and exhaust sounds a bit 'boomy'. I need to check if it has the standard exhaust fitted. Car just been MoT'd and serviced with no probs identified.

However, still very happy with car and looking forward to getting out again tomorrow.

Dave

Welcome to the forum, yeah to many pi55 takers on here. They keep banging on about how good the stumpy looks
I was looking at the RX400h as our next tow/large car, they get a good write up.
