Been lurking and decided to join. Just bought my 2011 35i last week. Have lots of questions, the first being recommendations for wind deflectors. I'm looking at the clear options but am not sure if they are as effective as the BMW mesh ones. Any opinions?
First thing I need help with is how to add a picture. Won't let me drag a picture in and when I submit it as an image I don't see a picture.

Welcome - love the Deep Sea Blue .
I would recommend the mesh deflector, I have read that the perspex (acrylic?) deflectors cause buffeting as the mesh allows some air through to avoid this. Would be keen to hear from anyone with the acrylic deflector that can confirm (or deny) this as I've only ever had the mesh ones on my E85 and E89.

Welcome to the forum. Lovely Zed. Mesh generally works better than solid, as it bounces less wind back nto he cabin.

Thanks for the welcome.! We live in California so yes we have nice weather. I also read somewhere that the acrylic bounces the air back in. The acrylic sure looks nice and it wouldn't have to be removed, but if it defeats the purpose of blocking the wind, it's pointless. I've heard the mesh one is hard to see out of at night.
We had the top down for the first time last night driving on the freeway and with the windows up it still blows your hair everywhere, so the wind deflector is the first thing I want to buy.
