Newbie - Buyer questions

Post by Jack.Strong » Wed Apr 17, 2019 10:27 pm

Hi,

I’m Jack, currently looking for a Z4. Car history;

Currently driving a BMW 428i
Previously Ford Fiesta St-2
And Nissan 350z

Been part of the clubs etc for all of them, there great.

This new car will be my weekend/summer car, as I regularly drive into Wales and want a sporty convertible. Always loved the e85 Z4 and feel the 2.5 Si is most suitable.

I’ve tried searching but can’t seem to find any threads on buyers guides (must be blind). Anything ?

Will be looking at a car this Friday. I know my way round a vehicle so if there is any tips it would be appreciated.

Thanks for your help and if successful I will definitely be an active member.

Cheers

Welcome to finest car forum on the interweb Jack. Being a fan of most things Ford and Nissan, I can hopfuly assure you, your heading down the right road with a Z4. Though after a proper man's muscle car 350Z, it may feel a bit light and airy. :driving:

Happy hunting. :D

Yep :thumbsup: - take note. By all accounts running costs and fuel consumption are the same - can't imagine insurance is much different

I had a 2.5si (manual) for a few years, but found it a bit sluggish unless I really worked the gears. 3.0si would be better if you can find a good one in your price range.
