Hi Guys
I thought I would update my thread. I didn’t want to clutter the place up with constant new threads with every minor change I make to the car. So thought my first forum post may be the best place to keep everything together. I have made a few changes.
1. My oil leak has been taken care of
2. I have drilled three 4mm holes in the underside of the fog lights, to hopefully drain the water away. I would post a picture of this, but the fogs are so bad you can’t see the holes. Hopefully in a few days I will be able to add some pics where the holes are visible.
3. I swapped out the OEM aerial for the below: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00 ... UTF8&psc=1

4. I changed the number plate lights. The OEM lights were fine, but just not quite white enough: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BMW-LED-Lice ... 2749.l2649
Sorry, but I forgot to get a shot of the OEM bulbs.
So far, all pictures taken of the car are on a SGS8. So, not the best. The above night shots do not do the lights justice. They are super bright, almost too bright.

Changed the badly corroded wiper blades to the below:
Heads up though, the passenger side 20" is too long and does not make full contact on the glass when in the down position.
I have yet to test these at motorway speeds.

I also changed the sticky Parrot Control Pad for the cars MKi9100. It appeared someone had spilled something on it, quite disgusting.

Now it's working like new. I am able to stream from Spotify with this and the reception is spot on.
Time for that well needed detail. Weather permitting.

Next up was to try and restore the headlights.
I used the Autoglym headlight restoration kit.
Fairly happy with that result for £20. Just a shame about all those stone chips

I think that's normal - every pair of blades I've fitted to my Z4 so far has the same issue! But at least it means it clears the top part of the screen on the passenger side.
I drilled 3 holes in my fog-lights last year, and within a couple of months they were clear so hopefully it will work for you too!
Your headlights certainly look better.
Coupes because stunning!

Gone - Montego Blue

ThanksMr Tidy. The fogs have already started to clear, a little. Hopefully as the weather improves it will help. I try and use them as often as I can.Mr Tidy wrote: ↑Fri Mar 22, 2019 11:03 pmI think that's normal - every pair of blades I've fitted to my Z4 so far has the same issue! Cheers for the heads up regarding the wipers
Thanks, the headlights look much better in person, the camera did not pick-up on how bad they were originally.
