Z4 2.5si Sport Staffordshire
Hello all
I have purchased myself another Z4. This time a 2.5ltr si Sport. Wow what a car!! This is my second Z4. My first was a 2.0 Sport which was a 2006 "56" plate which I owned as my main car from 2011-2017 when I then traded it in for my current BMW 320d sport. The first Z4 was the most reliable car I have ever owned and I was very very sad to see it go. That car was Ruby Black with the red leather interior. I decided that when I could afford it I would have another Z4, as a summer car.
And here it is. Saphire Black with black leather interior. The car is mint and in great condition. It does however have the common roof problem. I haven't tried it down yet but the garage stated it does work but is very slow. I need to get it sorted before summer!! Anyway although Im not a newbie to owning a Z4 I am a newbie to this forum. So hello from North Staffs. And if you own my previous Z4 "PK56HWG" you require a speacial hello:)

Very nice....
It's always surprising how many owners come back to the brand after the buying something else, or stay with it and try different models after buying the first.
I'm also in North Staffordshire so I'll keep a look out. looks like a nice example.

Hi and welcome - a 2.5Si must feel rather different!
There are a few forum members who can sort your roof, depending on your location!
Number5 is near Bristol:- viewtopic.php?f=11&t=112677
Ducklakeview may be a contentious option if you read the thread, but he's just up the road from you in Cheshire so it's your call:- viewtopic.php?f=13&t=105182
Either way you should get it sorted, then you can just enjoy!

Thankyou for the welcomes.
Mr Tidy yes I have noticed a massive difference between the 2.0 and the 2.5. This engine roars and the car is very quick!! I hadn't brought it to go to work in, however I did insure it through Chris Knott on this forum as they worked out the cheapest by far for me. I placed work commute on it. So guess what.... I can't help myself and my 3 series is sat redundant on the drive for the time being. Thanks for the recommendations for the roof. I have messaged Ducklakeview via FB messenger and am just awaiting a reply. He appears to be less than an hour away.
Stewey999 You are right and I also forgot the looks these cars gets!!

Great looking car and the 2.5 engine is really sweet. IMO the Z4 is one of the best value second hand sports car out there and this forum is the best one I’ve come across.

Haggisman Yes you are right. It's a great forum and the car is ace. First long run out today, and I have gone off Mr Tidy's reply above and visited member Ducklakeview at The Zed Shed today in St Helens. Mike has sorted out my soft top roof and relocated the motor into a dry area of the boot. He has also activated the roof so can be opened and closed using the key fob. I also have flashing indicators and an alarm beep now when I lock the car. He know's his stuff and I would highly recommend him. Next job to sort out is the rust bubble next to the boot lock and a couple of door dinks on the passsenger door and front wing
