It seems some owners swear by them & others swear at them!
Somewhere in between is probably fair?

... Marlon that was a lovely combo on Yr roadster and bet it looked the dogs against the silverMarlon wrote: ↑Tue Feb 12, 2019 11:56 pm My first Zed was a 2.0 - great in the bends but I found it underpowered in a straight line, it also regularly threw up engine warning lights that I never got to the bottom of. It had the two tone leather m sport seats and the leather dash like yours, mine was titanium silver - there's no doubt it was a great looking roadster.

Thanks road warrior ... I'm over the moon with mineroad warrior wrote: ↑Wed Feb 13, 2019 12:08 am oh dear, i will say this - no good will come of asking this lot for an honest appraisal after the fact because everybody is convinced theirs is the best, ergo your isnt
I spent maybe 20 years lusting after a 3.0 engined car, now i have one im battered daily by those with bigger faster better newer brighter sharper whatevers. So if it makes you happy - ignore them
Cheers Haggisman .. Yes gonna get a ZHP gearknob, is removing the original as straight forward as I think it is?!Haggisman wrote: ↑Tue Feb 12, 2019 10:29 pm Very nice looking car, like the sport seats. Had my Z for 6 months or so and don’t know why I didn’t buy one sooner.
My advice is to make sure everything works as it should and servicing is up to date then you can prioritise what you do to it. A ZHP gearknob is a cheap and nice addition.
Rightly so, it's a stunner!WillieT wrote: ↑Wed Feb 13, 2019 6:09 amThanks road warrior ... Yep, 5 min job. Tricky to get the old one off, needs both hands to pull it up, mind you don’t hit yourself in the face when it releases. Just push the ZHP one on, give it a thump with the heel of your hand. I bought mine from Sytner Coventry on EBay. CheersWillieT wrote: ↑Wed Feb 13, 2019 6:14 amCheers Haggisman .. That’s a cracking car . Well done , glad it’s doing it’s job and putting a permanent smile on your face .... they do that ... for years and years apparently very addictive these ZEDs
I think possibly some members can’t see past the ‘mine is best’ mentality, however they are a small minority, for most if you ask for an honest appraisal then that’s precisely what you get; is it slightly biased towards their own car? – perhaps, but that shouldn't undermine their ownership experiences or indeed their feedbackroad warrior wrote: ↑Wed Feb 13, 2019 12:08 am oh dear, i will say this - no good will come of asking this lot for an honest appraisal after the fact because everybody is convinced theirs is the best, ergo your isnt

Bugger,, did you have to ask that, almost as much of a hot topic as stubby/whippy or coupe/convertible
Help if you stated where you are in UK, there are some very good refurb places about, my sons 108 split rims were about £400 (all four), and look superb
