3.0 Se specs 2005

Post by road warrior » Wed Dec 12, 2018 9:08 am

I have read on here (somewhere) that the 3.0 Se has sports suspension as standard is that right?
I have normal but electric seats and the sport button. I am still trying to decide whether it came with lowered suspension or someone fitted it later, or even establish if I have it at all. I can see its had recent Springs , but what is deemed lowered and what is deemed standard/normal ? And how can I tell?. This all Springs (pun intended) from the ride quality over my local s**t roads with speed bumps lumps and pot holes.
If you ever think I'm off my rocker.. Just put me back in it and walk away... It's the kindest thing

The pre facelift 3.0 had sports suspension as standard, you could opt at no cost for SE apparently but I've never spotted one. In fact the only 3.0 pre facelift I know of using SE suspension is mine and that's only because I fitted suplex springs of SE spec with bilstein b4 shocks for a bit more comfort than the M Sport or Eibachs I had previously.
Just to confuse things I have seen a number of 3.0 pre facelifts with SE rear springs and M sport fronts over the years. But that's just because someones cocked up when replacing the inevitable broken rear springs!
As the bear has said one of the online vin checkers will tell you what yours left the factory with for free in seconds
