New member - airbag light on, Radio buttons not working

Post by YBrad » Sat Nov 24, 2018 11:51 pm

Upgraded to a 53 plate, 3.0 auto Z4 from a 1.1 Saxo 5 months ago! All running smooth until I had an Xcarlink Bluetooth module fitted around 4 weeks ago. On the way back from work tonight my pop up nav turned off (radio remained playing) and the airbag light has come on.

Issues that followed:
- indicator lights not showing on the dash
- unable to turn volume up or down
- unable to change station
- unable to turn stereo on or off
- gear selector light not on

The heated seats and DSC button are all working still, roof buttons not working but could be due to the amount of crap in my boot!

Related to your bluetooth IMO. Take it back to garage/fitter and get them to look into it and sort.
Alternatively, remove the device, diagnose and do a full reset, including the airbag. If that works (dash lights gone and everything is working) it's definitely the bluebooth.

Happens so often. I think you should at least post a photo of your car and tell us about it, before you get any info from the forum :|
