From Z3 to Z4!
Greetings
After 8 enjoyable years as a Z3 owner I’ve finally made the step across. I’d like to say this was completely of my own volition but I’d be telling fibs. Unfortunately my Zed bit the dust this summer and this time I decided to pull the plug not resuscitate. Money and pit had formed under it due to its age (22 years) so decided I wanted something a little more modern which lead me to take the natural step.
In all honesty I’ve had my eye on the Z4 for many years, actually ever since seeing it spin around in that ice rink advert. I came close to just buying another Z3 but I think a change is as good as anything.
Picked up a 2007 2.0i ///M Sport in Silver Grey with 70k on the clock. This was almost to my exact specification, within budget and only 40 mins down the road. I’d have liked the 3.0 or 2.5 but felt everything just fell into place and the exterior and interior were impeccable so pulled the trigger. Still a bit weird knowing its sitting outside.
Once I’ve given it the once over with the polisher and detailed it a little bit I’ll post up some pics cheers!

Welcome on board! Nice move, even though I can only feel attracted by the Z3, the Z4 is another generation car and you will love it as well.
To me it seems the best balance between "classic" sport/roadster and modern hi-tech toys, leaving the hassle of older cars but still having its own specific character/look...
Looking forward to pictures of both, your former Z3 and Z4

From Z3 to Z4!
Welcome from another Z3 driver here.
I am also a massive fan of the Z3, having owned one for the past 4 years. However as much as I love the car, I would like to experience other cars and I also am bound to go the Z4 route. That is once I finally settle on the one that hits the spot. Current thinking is a 2.0 E89, and then a remap at some point in the future.
Enjoy your car.
