kept my toolss..
Hi, l am a newbie to z4 ownership,....
l am 59 and used be into "classic cars",...grew up not having much money, and learning how to keep a "banger" on the road,..lol. After many years of being a sales rep, having company car,..and owning others, my toys ...p6b Rovers, triumph 2,5pi saloons, etc. Then moved to wales,... many "barn finds",... Lotus Sunbeam,.. Renault 5 Gordini Turbo, 205 pugs. etc, all well used , but "reinvigorated" by myself, used for a few years , then passed on. ...Wales is Rally land,...lol.
l thought it was tme to buy a new reliable car, just retiring, ish,...clear the shed, dont need these tools any more,.... so ended up with an 07 z4 2.0 sport, with m seats and suspension,...hardly used last 3 years, 1.2k, miles 75K total,.......guess l need to keep the tools now
OR DO I NEED HELP?

Welcome to the forum Rob.
What a great age to be (not that I am biased) and being retired is a bonus!
My car history is slightly different to yours with MK2 Granada, MK2 Escort RS2000, Granada Scorpio and Mercedes 123 280E among others, but I did have a P6B Rover 3500S.
I'd never get rid of tools - you never know when you might need them. But hopefully you won't need them for your Z4!
But put some photos on here before the photo police arrive.

Welcome to the forum, I trod a remarkably similar path with P6b, Dolomite Sprint, Alfa Sud & Gtv6, Mg's etc. Then got fed with stuff made by Messrs Smiths, Lucas or Magnti Marelli not getting me home and saw the Z4 light

Hi and welcome. Keep the tools you'll need them for all the cars you can do at your leisure - I remember the days of limping a car home from work and then spending a couple of hours under it in the dark outside on the concrete yard (in winter).
Zed as the daily drive then tools on a 'non critical' car in the warm and on a lift.
I'm your age and been retired for a few years now and loving it
By the way - did anyone mention photos?

There’s something highly therapeutic about tinkering on car DIY, even if sometimes it does end in tears.
First car was a J reg Alpha Gulia... for those that remember The Italien Job were the police cars chasing the minis ... that car taught me lots so don’t ever let your tools get dusty... & feel as long as you’re a member here am sure will never happen

Lovely - I always fancied one of those.
My 2nd car was a J-reg Fiat 125! That required fairly frequent spanner attention.
