Hi All

Been lurking for a while as I’ve been thinking about what car to buy. Registration means I’m set on joining the Zed ranks in the not too distant future if I’m lucky with the search

Forum looks a gold mine of information and a friendly bunch of folk too. Very much looking forward to being involved.

TIA

When I find the right car I’ll be looking for a good Indy to do the inevitable work on it. I live in Brackley, Northamptonshire.

Any recommendations?

TIA

Hi and welcome - not my area so no ideas about a nearby Indy. What model Zed are you considering?

Morning Crazy Harry

I’m leaning towards the 3L, maybe a 2.5 if the right one came along.

It will be daily driver on mostly B roads ( Will be changing the rubber to non run flats by reading the comments seen on here). 50 miles a day for the commute plus fun time means I don’t think a massively high mileage one is a good idea, though I’ve been pleasantly surprised by the comments people say about reliable motors

Cheers

So that's a roadster rather than a coupe then? or are you thinking E89?

Ooah - 3.0 roadster good way to go (same as mine so I would say that!).

From what I understand there is no difference in mpg between the 2.5 and 3.0. Read the buying guides and if you want to drop the top all year round (and you will!) look for one with heated Msport seats. Keep a look out for forum cars and be prepared to travel to view one - happy hunting
