Bumper Alignment

Post by socratic » Fri Jul 13, 2018 3:58 pm

Hello All, Picked up a 2005 Z4 2.5i to keep me busy and entertained on weekends. Very cool car. Been going over the entire car before I try for a state inspection sticker. Lots of cleaning up. Replaced all 4 brakes, hope I don't need to replace front bushing, but we will see. I am not familiar with bodywork and noticed that the rear bumper has popped out of (I think) the left side and possibly the center bumper guide. My question is, do I need to remove the entire bumper to determine if I need to replace the bracket/guide or is it possible to just pop the bumper back in? It is definitely popped at one point on the side, and the center has some give if I push in - also the gap between the bumper and trunk looks larger than I would think it should be? (BTW - not sure what is going on but when I uploaded the photos and preview, they are upside down - even if I rotate them first? Sorry) Thanks for any advice. Jim
