Hello all,

Been lurking on the forum last few weeks while looking for a good 3.0si within my tight budget. Picked up the car last night and have fallen in love with it immediately.

Silver 2006 with 88,000 miles, good condition... nearly mint, everything works and it has some good options including the 10 speaker audio. I didn't want SatNav as I think it dates the interior and I love how clean the interior lines are. The seats are individual blue... look great in person and I also liked the MV II's.

All I am planning on doing is a little tidy up consisting of: refurbing the lights lenses, new centre caps for the wheels, new number plates and a good detail. would love to get more noise out of the exhaust but I hear the back box delete can drone... any ideas on more noise with out annoying droning?

Anyone know this car? WP06...
Cheers all, will be using this forum quite a bit I think!

Welcome to the forum, great choice of Zed - I had an identical looking Zed for my first, however it was a 2 ltr - can't beat the 3.0si :driving:

Welcome Sam, lovely looking roadster you've got there. Agree on the sat nav. Funny how times change, because 5 years ago I probably wouldn't have considered one without

The 3.0si is a beauty, you've made a good choice. In terms of getting more noise, have you considered the sound generator mod? (have a search if you don't know what I'm talking about). It's a free and quite straightforward mod to do yourself

Marlon, says on your tag line you’ve had a remap... what are your thoughts on if it’s worth doing?

Cheers Jamie, will look into the mod. Not heard about that and think £800 for an aftermarket exhaust is quite a steep.

I'd say its worth doing definitely, if you have a spare half hour you can read my journey from making the decision through to the driving feel afterwards: viewtopic.php?f=2&t=82745&hilit=quantum+remap

Hello all, cheers for the kind words. I wasn’t sure about the seats in the pics but in the flesh they look really good. Such a comfy place to be too. I’m 6’ 3” and a big lump and it’s the nicest roadster I’ve had by a mile.

Fair to say I’m addicted already, the steering is something else! I couldn’t believe how pin sharp and accurate it was. Such an easy car to drive from the moment you get in!

Not at all geeky - don't we all do that?

Interesting to see it described as Montego Blue - my car is Montego Blue!

Hi and welcome.
I’m sure this zed is one I went to have a look at being sold by forum member Machpb. I remember the striking blue and unusual half leather. You’re correct, the photos don’t do justice, lovely in the flesh.
