Good morning.

I’ve just registered as a potential owner seeking information, hints and tips from existing owners, to help me consider my options and hopefully get into my first Z4.

If I do this it will almost certainly be an E85 3 litre. My quandary at the moment is whether to make it my daily driver, or keep my current snotter for commuting duties and save the Z for weekends and holidays.

I look forward to getting stuck in to reading much of the information on offer within the forums and hopefully landing myself a fine example sometime in the coming months.

 Pete

Welcome to the forum Peter

I’m quite new myself and this is definitely the right place for information and advice!
I use my own only at weekends and holidays: too thirsty for a regular commute and a waste in bumper to bumper traffic.

Good luck with your search for your own Z4 and don’t forget to post pictures when you find it :)

Hi, you've found a good place to start looking - 3.0 roadster just what I went for

Its well worth having a look at the cars forum members are selling - Number 5 (Bristol area) has a 3.0si roadster for sale at the moment. This is also the place to ask questions and post details of cars you've seen if you want a second opinion.

Welcome, I run my 2.5 roadster as a weekend car. I run a Honda Accord as a daily and occaisionally bring the zed to work. I'm lucky to have found a particularly nice one so I'm not keen on picking up road rash and parking dings. That said it's comfy and not too bad on fuel if you want to get one and just use it and enjoy it.
What ever you choose to do, enjoy your new car and get some photos up when you get one

Hi and welcome

Be sure to check out the for sale thread here. Forum cars are obviously well loved and generally well maintained :D.

Thanks for the welcome messages. I have a bit more saving and some money shuffling to do before I'm ready to buy. Having said that Number 5's car in Bristol does look like a cracker.

I run mine day to day - I work in sales so do a fair bit of driving! The Z is perfect for it, although after a few hours the back starts to hurt but that's the same in any car for me!
They aren't special enough cars to worry about keeping in a bubble for the weekend, just enjoy it every day imo!

Mine is my daily for exactly the reason cremeegg states. Its only £4k worth of car, I enjoy driving it too much to have an old clunker as my daily. It's not like its a 250 GTO.
