Hello All fellow Z fans

I'm originally from the UK, but I've been living in Thailand for many years. I'm not new to BMWs but bought my first Z4 a couple of months ago. I had a couple of BMW E36s, and was in a convertible before I discovered my E85.

I've lurked around the forum a bit as I've got to know a bit more about my car and this model in general, and thought it is finally time to introduce myself..... so here she is

I’ve had the roof down as much as possible since getting the car....

Luckily the seasons are fairly predictable, and wetness actually doesn’t last too long. There’s a “normal” rainy season leading up to the monsoon season but it’s not usuall too bad. Believe it or not, there are times it’s too hot to have the roof down.

I had a hardtop for my old E36 convertible - and that was used a lot here, especially after the plastic window split - plus it looked awesome with the hardtop fitted

Anyway, so far I’m loving the Z :)

Thank you all for the warm welcome :)

How I ended up in Bkk is a long story really, but the short version is that I originally left the UK to work in Australia and was there for a few years, but after visiting Thailand on vacation I ended up staying and I’ve been here ever since - around 14-15 years.

The wheels are actually BBS CH, not CSLs - 19x8.5 & 19x9.5 and completely changed the look of the car.

This is the third black car I’ve had here, which is weird because my favourite colour is blue..... I swore I’d never have another black car, but I just couldn’t resist.

Anyway, thank you all for the kind comments - I’ve actually found this forum to be a great source of information that has already helped me with a few things on the Z, and I have a few plans for the car - I’ve already caught the modifying bug.
