Hi All,
New member here - just joined up today. I've been lurking in the background and doing a bit of reading up ahead of buying a 3.0 Coupe. I've been keeping an eye on them for a while and reckon that they're a cracking buy for the money, really can't think of what else around the £10k mark ticks as many boxes for me
I'm coming to the Z4 from a series 1 Elise (unfortunately written off a little while back) a Mk5 Golf diesel daily M4 commuter box (170,000 miles and counting) and a 1969 Volvo Amazon 122s owned with a friend (slowly being turned into a classic rally car)
Anyway, just a note to say hi - if anyone knows of a good coupe for sale or fancies selling theirs in the near future then get in touch. I'll add a wanted advert to the cars for sale, but I'm in no hurry to buy, waiting for the right spec to come along...
Cheers,
MrJollygood

Ps If there are any forum members within half an hour or so of Maidenhead (SL6) who wouldn't mind me having a poke around their car, show me what to look out for etc and maybe be kind enough to take me for a spin that would be really appreciated!

Welcome to the Forum,
Have you checked out the Forum's Buy & Sell Z4 Vehicles section?
Good luck with the search

Hi there,
I have - nothing that's spot on to what I want (I'm probably being too picky!) but I'll keep an eye on it, thanks!

Hi and welcome to the forum MrJollygood.
I'm in the same county as you (just) in Sandhurst - GU47. You'd be welcome to have a poke around my Coupe if you don't hear from anyone nearer to you.
In fact there is a local meet-up scheduled for 09.00 on Sunday where you would probably get to meet a couple more Coupe owners. If that is of any interest you'd be welcome to hitch a ride in my Coupe.
Like a few other forum members all my BMW Servicing is done by TWG Automotive in Camberley. While I realise that is a bit of a way from you I've never had any issues in the 3+ years I've been going there. Will, the principal, is ex-Sytner as is at least one of his technicians.
Good luck with your search.

Hi Mr. Jollygood. Welcome to the Forum! What colour combo were you looking for, just in case one comes up?

As Mr Tidy states, this Sunday's Newland Corner meet would be a good opportunity to see a few Zeds. It would also give some of us the chance to extol the virtues of Roadsters over Coupes.
Either way, hope you find a jolly good Zed!

Thanks all for the warm welcome! Surprised to get so many replies in a short amount of time!
Mr Tidy - thanks for the offer, much appreciated. It'd be great to get a chance to talk around a car a bit before I view any, so might have to take you up on that. Need a 'get out of doing DIY' pass from the other half for anything car based this weekend, but if I can escape I'll drop you a line. Not been to Newlands Corner for a while, used to meet there with the Lotus Club I'm in - good bacon rolls if I remember!
TWG Automotive sound good - always happy to travel a little further afield to get trustworthy service.
Haha, had enough fun in a leaky roofed soft top with my Elise for 4 years, fancy something with a proper roof this time around
Anyway, don't the roadsters have all the stiffness of blacmange...?

Welcome to the forum Jollywood, so you want the Z4 Capri instead of a nice dry roadster and the ability to have roof down fun at the touch of a button.

Roadster roofs don't leak and the chassis is nice and stiff - you may be confusing the chassis it with it's predecessor
Sounds like a great offer on Sunday

Apologies if I'm being a newbie a haven't found it, but is there a buying guide on here? Or could someone point me towards a good one?
Thanks in advance.
