Hi All,

Just wanted to drop a note in here to say hello.

I'm in the market for a Z4 in the next couple of months so wanted to get involved (I've been using the forum for about a year now as a non member).

Looking for a manual E85 3litre to have as a weekend toy. I've currently got a 6 series to sell to fund it so will have to hold fire until that is sorted but keen to get anyone's thoughts on cars that may be available. I put a note on the classifieds section regarding a swap on the off chance anyone is interested but won't hold my breath :D

Condition / Maintenance of the car is my priority so not put off by higher mileage but obviously the lower the better.

Anyway good to meet you all and hopefully will be a fellow owner soon.

Cheers,

Nick

Hello there.
The time to buy is definitely now, I got my E86 for £6.5k yeah the mileage is high but if you can do the work on it yourself who cares!

It hasn't disappointed me yet.

Hi and welcome to the forum Nick.

A 3 litre makes the most sense to me as running costs are the same for the 2.2i, 2.5i and 3.0i.

Good luck selling your 6 Series, then you can start your Z4 search!

I came to Z4 ownership via a 6 series (630d GT) and you will find it very different. I've had mine about three months now and am still not used to the way it drives compared to a three litre diesel

Yep, drive my cars all year. I’m not one to bury the car for 6 months.
