Had the Z4 mapped yesterday by these guys: https://www.peterborough-remapping.co.uk/ using Quantum software. So the 23i is improved from 201 to 225 ps. Not really stretched it yet but it certainly feels smoother. The other benefit of the mapping was we were able to go through and test/clear some historical fault codes A

And another Abarth here, 595 Comp. Very nice , same blue as yours was...
Exhaust is something else on those, it sets the alarm of off my Jeep which is parked in the same garage on a cold start.
My Z4M is on loan to another forum member, but that is another story

Thanks pvr. That’s a fine garage you’ve got judging by your signature, even if one is out on loan

Hi, be interested to see what you think of the remap once you've had time to test it... not many have bothered with the 23ijenniferlouise wrote: ↑Fri Jun 11, 2021 2:19 pm Had the Z4 mapped yesterday by these guys: https://www.peterborough-remapping.co.uk/ using Quantum software. Thanks Baron, I’ll be sure to comment. Not sure there are that many E89 23is out there given it’s relatively short production run due to ‘improved’ engines. I think the amount of polish I’ve added has reduced drag, improved mpg and added 5 bhp by itselfZed Baron wrote: ↑Fri Jun 11, 2021 6:27 pmHi, be interested to see what you think of the remap once you've had time to test it... not many have bothered with the 23ijenniferlouise wrote: ↑Fri Jun 11, 2021 2:19 pm Had the Z4 mapped yesterday by these guys: https://www.peterborough-remapping.co.uk/ using Quantum software. Have you got a dyno sheet you could post for us showing the before/after power curves?jenniferlouise wrote: ↑Fri Jun 11, 2021 7:05 pmThanks Baron, I’ll be sure to comment. Hi Rob.., sorry no dyno readout available, as the mapping was done on my driveway from a flashy laptop. The Quantum web shows that the upgrade is 201 to 225.
This week I’ve got the brakes being replaced - my discs aren’t great so I’ve planned to upgrade the discs and add some more attractive callipers at the same time.
I may yet rolling road it to both assess the mapping and the braking performance… A

So I’ve some good news and some bad news..
The good is that the …738 OEM brake kit has gone on the front perfectly.
The bad news is that the health check has identified that both rear alloys have some damage.
I’ve seen that this is not uncommon on rear 326M wheels. So now I’m researching my options: repair, replace or new… watch this space….

Unfortunately it’s not, a lovely wheel but made of china. I took mine off as a preventative measure and still managed to crack one in 50 miles. I wouldn’t have them on any car again through choice.jenniferlouise wrote: ↑Fri Jun 18, 2021 8:56 pm I’ve seen that this is not uncommon on rear 326M wheels. I replaced mine with a brand new set of 19’ 276’s for less than one 326!
G29 M40i Thundernight with Ivory interior, all option packs (here for a while, hopefully )
G29 M40i Misano Blue all option packs (Gone 26k of fun)
E89 35iS, Valencia Orange, Design Pure Traction pack (Gone)
E89 23i sDrive, Silver (Gone)

Andy, thanks, I feel your pain. I’m looking at a brand new set of BMW ‘style’ wheels, retaining a similar look…

I’m also sure clarker63 had found an aftermarket set that looked very similar to 326’s

Thanks this is really helpful.
The Mak wheel configuration tool is great, if a bit small (I’m doing it on my phone so a pic may be better). Lots of options. But probably not for me…
The BMutosport site has a set of 313’s refurbed for £1250, with some part worn Pirelli tyres fitted. The wheel I sourced elsewhere (see pic) is a 313 copy but they are half the cost and new, in boxes, so likely to stick with them. If nothing else having all these wheels to look at has reaffirmed the style I am looking for.
Having read more horror stories on here I think I’ve been put off spending good money on more 326’s. A slightly different look, with the grey inserts and polished face, will freshen the car up I feel.
I think I’ll be placing an order this week and get the new wheels fitted at the same time as the rear calipers. A
