Is there a way in settings that i can get new posts on the Forum to update me instantly on my mobile, currently using I phone 5s and keep missing the boat when items come up for sale

Subscribe to the Sale forum or whichever you want then edit your profile to include the following:
'Someone creates a topic in a forum to which you are subscribed'
That should send you an immediate email to your phone, assuming you have email on it

Is a simple email notification is enough for you? Then it's pretty simple, just turn on email notification on your subscribed thread and you will get notified through your email. This can be done for most of the forums.

And if you set the forum's (sender) email address as a favourite on an iPhone, the email should appear on your lock screen when it arrives.
